House Flip

NORTH BETHESDA, MARYLAND

Wilets Architecture was approached by the owner looking to rebuild and flip an old ranch house on a corner lot in North Bethesda. The scope was to demolish all but the exterior first floor walls and add a new second floor and bonus attic area. Spaces were completely redesigned to provide a large kitchen, mudroom, living room, and dining room on the first level, plus a master bedroom suite and three additional bedrooms on the second level. A wrap-around porch became the defining feature for a design that was modified from modern to Arts & Crafts, based on the owner’s concern for having a broader market appeal.
