Ambassador’s Residence
An Embassy in Northwest Washington, DC selected Wilets Architecture to lead up the renovation and maintenance of their historic Ambassador’s residence, built in 1912. An extensive scope was developed to upgrade and improve the entire building, including a comprehensive landscape plan and new commercial kitchen. The loft at the existing carriage house was upgraded to become a drivers’ waiting area. Part of the pre-construction process involved approval from the DC Historic Preservation Office, U.S. Department of State, and Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA).
